Quartz is one of the most useful natural materials. Its physical properties of lustre, colour and crystalline nature are related of how helpful it is as a precious stone and for industrial uses.  

It is extremely durable due to its Mohs Scale hardness of seven. In contact with the majority of chemicals, it is chemically inert.  

It is used in electronics industry because of its negligible conductivity characteristics and heat resistance.

Additionally, Quartz is also utilized in manufacturing of Ferro Silicon, Silicon Metal, Ferro Chrome and Silicon Manganese because of its high Silica content and its withstanding capacity at high temperatures.
